Trendify collects two different kinds of data
As an e-commerce company we need to collect two different kinds of data about our customers:
1. Process data - is used to perform the contract when a customer submits an order. It is for example content and transactional data like name, address, payment details, etc.
2. Clickstream/tracking data - is used for personalization and marketing. It follows the customer’s journey online. We do collect this data to offer a personalized shopping experience. Personalization is reflected in the experience our customers have when they shop with us.
Our handling of personal data
As a European company, we are familiar with the rules of the European General Data Protection Regulation. We comply with the strict provisions of the regulation regarding the use, storage and processing of personal data. Our customers can view their personal information that Trendify has given access to on their customer account at any time. We only pass on the personal data of our customers to third parties, such as logistics service providers or banks, as far as it is legally permitted, in particular, if this is required for the execution of the contract, invoicing, or if the customer has previously consented to it. In turn, our service providers may use the forwarded data only to fulfill their task. Thirds parties must also strictly adhere to the provisions of the applicable data protection laws.
